Earlier today I was in the kitchen doing something very Martha Stewartish, I’m sure and then I heard Jackson shriek, “There’s a snake in the house! There’s a snake in the house!” Jackson yells a lot so I’m not quite sure what it was but something in his voice made my heart start racing. I screamed “What?!” and ran into the living room to find Jackson running from Mikey who was chasing him with a huge blue stuffed animal snake.
The boys have been playing together a lot lately. Their playing usually consists of one chasing the other around the house, or one jumping on the other and lots of screaming. Usually one ends up getting hurt and crying at some point. Usually it’s Jackson. Jackson plays really great with Mikey for the most part. But occasionally Jackson takes things too far and doesn’t know when to quit. Sometimes he pushes Mikey’s buttons a little too frequently and Mikey snaps and gets even. Here are some pics from last week of the boys playing on our bed.
Yes, we let our kids destroy our bed. It’s my opinion that beds are made for sleeping in and jumping on and pillows are made for laying your head and hitting each other with.
But we have taught them to ask first.
This next picture cracks me up. Jack has no idea he’s about to get pounced on.
